Work it out Weekends

I’ve been a bit erratic in my posting lately and I swear I’ll go back and catch up on the holidays and my faux bachelorette party, but I couldn’t let this one slip by…. 

Work it out Weekends is brought to you by your wishcake, my favorite 20-something blogger.

A resolution of sorts, your wishcake promises to post every weekend on getting healthy and anything that goes along with that. She’s also outlined her goals as follows and has asked her fellow bloggers to join her.

“Here are my goals:

  • Lose 13 pounds. Two weeks ago I weighed in at 133 and am aiming for 120 by my bestie’s wedding in April.
  • Stop the late-night binging. It’s a little ridiculous how many calories I sometimes consume after 9PM. Since I often stay up late crafting and writing, I need to make sure I make myself a nice cup of decaf tea to calm that craving instead!
  • Continue running at least three times week, and sign up for a 5k sometime this year.
  • Attend 1 – 2 classes a week at my gym (I’ve been eager to try some new ones – Zumba, anyone?).
  • Weigh myself no more than once a week. Because scales are the devil. Amen.
  • Cook more healthy, delicious meals!
  • Work hard on changing the negative thoughts I have and strengthen my body image.”

Seems fairly simple and all together possible! I’m in!

Here are my goals:

  • Lose 5lbs, but more importantly tone up!
  • Make it to the Farmer’s Market once a week and purchase weekly fruits and vegetables. Also, get flowers because having them in the house really influences my attitude.
  • Suck it up and join a gym, so I can take classes anywhere, anytime once or twice a week!
  • Restrict my beer intake, it’s really not that bad but it can’t help.
  • Buy a scale. I think being more aware of my weight can help me stay consistant.
  • Cook way more. And bring food to work. No eating out for lunch everyday!
  • No late night fried food binging… that includes french fries, flautas and beer battered fish tacos!

1/15/10 UPDATE:

I made it to the gym for an hour and a half!!!! And I’ll be sugning up after my 7 day trial!

Ate one fish taco for dinner, instead of two. Getting there….

Plan on going to the farmer’s market on Sunday, yay! And getting some walking in too!

NEED TO STOP DRINKING…. :)
